Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons (YKA), recently handed over two vehicles to Bahrain Polytechnic to support the institution’s new Apprenticeship Program, a program which enables students with a blend of on-the-job training. During a ceremony held at the Bahrain Polytechnic premises in Isa Town, Mr. Alok Gupta, CEO of YKA presented the vehicles to Prof. Ciarán Ó Catháin, CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic in the presence of officials from both organizations.

The vehicles will be used by the trainees in the Polytechnic’s Apprenticeship program, allowing them to gain deeper insights into the mechanics of automotive systems and how different components function together to create the vehicles we rely on daily.

During the event, the management of YKA also had the chance to meet with the trainees currently attending classes at the Bahrain Polytechnic campus and wished them all the best in their studies.

For his part, Prof. Ciarán Ó Catháin, CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic said “We are grateful for YKA’s generous contribution to our Apprenticeship Program. This partnership exemplifies the strong collaboration between industry and academia, and we are confident that it will greatly benefit our students as they prepare for successful careers in the automotive field.”

The provision of these vehicles by YKA to Bahrain Polytechnic underscores the company’s commitment to supporting the development of Bahrain’s automotive industry and investing in the education and training of future professionals.
