Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons is committed to the development of every employee into becoming excellent achievers. To fulfill this vision, the company has implemented several initiatives.

Employee Development:

  • Learning at YK Almoayyed:
    Employees can learn and build a career simultaneously at YKA. Through short-term training courses and long-term programs that range from academic degrees to vocational qualifications, employees are provided the right knowledge and skills set to complete their required tasks at a higher level of
    productivity and quality.
  • YKA Learning Resources Center (YKLRC):
    The YKLRC is an in-house library that offers management and technical books, training modules, audio-visual tools (CDs/DVDs) and various course materials to employees.
  • Commitment to utilize Tamkeen Initiatives:
    YKA is proud to partner with Tamkeen to use its initiatives and programs to improve the skills and knowledge of its Bahraini workforce. Eligible employees are sent to various trainings for career progression, leadership skills development, human resources development and other short-term courses
    and programs.

YKA have also participated in “Train to Recruit” initiatives which are designed to train unemployed Bahrainis in various specializations that cater to specific needs in the market.

Other Initiatives:

  • Employee Satisfaction Survey (ESS): The ESS administered periodically by the Human Resource Department has already completed its 3rd phase. The objective of this survey is to identify and address employee satisfaction / engagement issues.
  • PRIDE: YKA’s own brand of employee engagement programme. YKA uses this scheme to provide the employees with a competitive working environment that stimulates creativity, innovation, initiative and drive that motivates the desired behaviors from the employees.
  • Edmaj: YKA has always been about partnering in the development of the society. To make this happen, YKA created its own corporate social responsibility programme. Through this programme the company is running a number of schemes that helps giving back to the society. Such of these schemes is the annual iftar for the Orphans, the annual blood donation campaigns and the annual medical checkup campaigns.
  • Diligent Employee – Ministry of Labor Program: Annually, the Ministry of Labor requests organizations to nominate their best candidates for a Diligent Employee or Distinguished Managers Award. The criteria for selecting a candidate lay within the Ministry itself. Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons is proud to have at least two employees who are awarded every year.
  • Employee of the Month: This scheme recognizes and rewards employees who exhibit and promote the company’s vision, mission and values in their day to day work and activities.
