It all began with maintenance and repair of home appliances, air-conditioners etc. Slowly and steadily, under the leadership of Mr. M. T. Mathews, the company endeavored certain prestigious HVAC projects like Naim Health Centre, Public Security Health Centre, Arad Health Centre, Girls’ Secondary School at Hamad Town, Gulf International Convention Centre, Gulf International Bank, Almoayyed Tower and the Formula-1 racing circuit to name a few. Thereafter, the business grew successfully to new levels by undertaking new MEP project.
Having proved successful in MEP contracting, the company took another step of diversity to civil construction for executing projects on a turnkey basis. Later in the year 1999, Almoayyed Contracting Group (ACG) was established to bring all these companies under one umbrella. From then on, ACG expanded its activities and grew steadily. In the year 2002, Mrs. Hala Al Moayyed, the youngest daughter of Mr. Farouk Almoayyed, Chairman of Y. K. Almoayyed Group, joined ACG after completing her Business Management studies at Georgetown University. She is a brilliant visionary like her father and is keen on introducing innovative business ideas. ACG is the first contracting company on the island to introduce ERP business solutions. With her active involvement, the company’s reputation continued to flourish, and many internationally reputed companies associated with the Group. In September 2001, three different companies were established. Almoayyed Cleaning and Maintenance, to provide services in the facility management segment, Almoayyed Scaffolding, for trading in construction equipment/materials and Almoayyed Property Development to look after real estate management. In 2005, Simplex-Almoayyed WLL, a joint venture between ACG & Simplex Infrastructure Ltd. was formed to do ground engineering and piling foundation contracts. Integrated Facility Management WLL was established in 2010 to render services in facility management. Recent additions to the Group are Almoayyed Transport in 2011 and Almoayyed-TG Lighting in 2013. In 2018, the group added Y.K. Real Estate Investments & Developments to expand into the field of real estate development.
ACG will continue to look for innovation and partnerships to move with changes to further progress in its position as a leader in the industry.
