Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons Recognized as 2011 Nissan Champion Distributor
Nissan Gulf President & CEO, Mr. Nasser Watar presented the '2011 Five-Star Champion Distributor’ award for the YKA Nissan Division to YKA Group Chairman, Mr. Farouk Almoayyed in the presence of YKA Director, Mr. Mohammed Almoayyed, YKA Chief Executive, Mr. Alan Guest, Nissan Gulf Director – Sales & Marketing, Mr. Cameron Gowing and YKA Automotive Group General Manager, Mr. Declan McCluskey.
The award was bestowed by Nissan Motor Co. Ltd.
YKA Electronics & Home Appliances Honored with Best in Marketing Campaign Award
Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons Electonics and Home Appliances (EHA) was honored with the Best in Marketing Campaign award for their commitment and dedication to Toshiba air conditioning brand and for an outstanding performance in 2011. AHI-Carrier FZE representative Mr. Jafar Syed Imam presented the award to EHA Group General Manager Mr. Manoj Kilam.
Almoayyed Motors Wins Ford Excellence Award
Bahrain's Ford and Lincoln dealers Almoayyed Motors have been named winner of the Ford Service Excellence Award after passing a three-day assessment of processes and metrics.
The award, a part of the Ford Motor Company's service excellence programme, recognises dealerships that provide unique service experience and outstanding customer satisfaction. Almoayyed Motors was also recognised for having achieved record parts sales in 2010.
The award was presented to Y. K. Almoayyed & Sons' Group chairman Farouk Almoayyed by Ford Middle East regional customer services director Chris Noel, during a ceremony at their showroom in Sitra on 9th February 2011.
Palladium Balanced Scorecard Hall of Fame Award
Palladium Balanced Scorecard Hall of Fame for Executing Strategy has inducted five high performance organizations at the 2011 Palladium EMEA Summit held in London from 7th to 9th June 2011. Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, AK BANK, Y. K. Almoayyed & Sons, Dubai Aluminum and Dubai Police were honored with this award and congratulated for breakthrough performance results.
The Hall of Fame award honors organizations that have achieved business excellence through the use of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC), the world’s preeminent strategy and performance management system. The BSC is based on the simple premise that ‘what gets measured is what gets done’. Created by Palladium Group co-founders Dr. Robert S. Kaplan and Dr. David P. Norton (both Harvard University Professors), the Balanced Scorecard links strategy to operations to drive business outcomes.

Outstanding Company in Utilizing Training Levy Award for YKA
Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Majeed Bin Mohsin Al-Alawi, Minister of Labour, Kingdom of Bahrain and Mrs. Amal Almoayyed, Chairperson of the Specific Council for Training in Retail, Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons were presented 3 awards for having achieved a high level of training satisfaction and effectively utilizing the training levy in 2008.
In a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Labor and the Specific Council for Training in Retail held
at the Gulf Convention Centre, Manama on 3rd June 2009, Y. K. Almoayyed & Sons secured top honour in the following categories:

"Class A Award" for Y. K. Almoayyed & Sons for securing first place among all companies in the retail sector.

"Class C Award" for Almoayyed Motors for securing first place for achieving 99% utilization of their levy budget as prescribed by the Ministry of Labour.

"Distinguished Training Manager Award" for Mr. Faisal M. Al-Asfoor, Training Head at Y. K. Almoayyed & Sons for managing and coordinating the training activities for the organization.

The awards were presented by His Excellency, the Minister of Labour himself to Mr. Alan James Guest, Chief Executive of Y. K. Almoayyed & Sons and to Mr. Faisal M. Al-Asfoor.
Nissan GCC Sales Awards
Y. K. Almoayyed & Sons received the award for Outstanding Sales Performance from Nissan. Mrs. Mona Almoayyed, Managing Director, received the award from Mr. Toru Hasegawa, Managing Director, Nissan Middle East
Nissan Forklift After Sales Parts Silver Prize Award
The Y. K. Almoayyed & Sons Heavy Equipment Parts and Tyre Division was honoured by Nissan Motor Company Japan with 2007 NSC of the year – Nissan Forklift After Sales Parts Silver Prize Award.
The award plaque signed by Mr. Toshio Aoki, Corporate Vice President, Nissan Motor Co., was presented to Y. K. Almoayyed & Sons at the GOM 2008 NSC Parts Conference on 4th November 2008 at Nissan head office in Tokyo, Japan.
Philco / White-Westinghouse Awards
The Y. K. Almoayyed & Sons, Electronics & Home Appliances Division (EHAD) has been selected by Electrolux International Company, USA, the holder of Philco and White-Westinghouse brands for two major awards.
The division has been awarded the ‘Philco / White-Westinghouse Distinguished Service Award’ in recognition of 20 Years of Service.
The award was received by Mr. Sunil Kumar, Manager - Sales & Marketing, Electronics & Home Appliances Division, during the Electrolux International Company Distributors’ Conference at Amman, Jordan.
